Stories from The Walking Dead universe will live on as AMC confirms a Tales of the Walking Dead anthology spinoff. A teaser trailer was released on April 10, 2022, using the tagline "6 Different Stories, 1 Dead World". Viewers can watch this series without ever watching any other Walking Dead series, but eagled-eyed fans of TWDU will enjoy several Easter Eggs sprinkled throughout. He goes on the hunt to find a former doomsday prepper pen-pal he communicated with before the fall of society.

What originally excited me about this new anthology series was the ability to let filmmakers take the franchise in unexpected, refreshing directions. It’s rare that you even come across a good licensed RoboCop game but it’s even better when you get one that treats the IP with the respect and care that it deserves. simply titled “ Evie/Joe,” follows two survivors who cross paths on their quest to reconnect with loved ones. TWD director Michael Satrazemis directed three of the six episodes, with Ron Underwood, Haifaa al-Mansour, and Deborah Kampmeier directing the remaining three.It’s the only storyline that feels like it’s trying something genuinely daring within the anthology structure — not only because it’s set around a time loop, but also for the darkly comedic tone it takes. Developed by Teyon (known for their work on the underrated Terminator: Resistance ), RoboCop: Rogue City seeks to fix the past. Dee is alarmed by Brooke's naive view of the current world and attempt to maintain normality despite the dangers. These will be focused on both new and established characters within the universe, with Samantha Morton reprising her role as Alpha (real name Dee), while new stars include Olivia Munn, Terry Crews, Parker Posey, Jillian Bell and The Boys' Jessie T Usher. Everything from the moonlit, foggy countrysides to the claustrophobia of Joe’s man-cave captures the color palette of the apocalypse in interesting ways.

In contrast, “Evie/Joe” attempts a similar push-pull between a gruff doomsday prepper (Terry Crews) and a free-spirited softie (Olivia Munn) who become unlikely and somewhat unwilling road trip companions a year into the apocalypse — but neither the plot beats nor the characterizations ever move beyond threadbare tropes. Gunfights are chaotic and gory and often feature enemies being turned into a bloody red mist and the environment looking like an absolute warzone after every encounter.
