From the fan-favorite author of Underneath the Sycamore Tree comes the first in a raw, real romance series following the lives of the Lindon U football players and the complicated girls who change their lives forever. A beautiful love story with two cha that needs to go through some hard times in their new adult life and to take decisions that will change their life for the future. The teen did whatever was necessary to find shelter and survive, and years later is now left tormented by her past.

Ivy is barely picking up the pieces of her life when the boy whose initials she used to doodle hearts around approaches her at work. For all the work that Ivy put into moving forward in her life, she still found herself having those moments where she almost succumbed to the suicidal thoughts that would plague her. he kinda just waltz back into her life and was like ”yup youre mine and you gotta tell me everything” like bitch? For Ivy, she had gone through a lot over the years and all she cared about was surviving and succeeding. And to some extent I understood why she was like that, but it got annoying at some parts and I just did not like her that much. I felt like there was so much of it that was beyond repetitive, and even though self harm is something that so many young people struggle with overcoming, it wasn't addressed as in-depth like I wished it was. She does talk about self harm in this book for one of the characters, so if that’s a trigger for you then you may want to skip this one or ask someone who has read it for clarification on how detailed it gets. I understand in some ways Ivy needed him to be a bit pushy, but it was just another thing that annoyed me. Our Adult Fiction Books, Range includes Classics Novels, Comic Books, Crime, Thriller, Mystery Novels, General Fiction, Horror, Romance, Science Fiction and War.

At age 16, Ivy runs away from a home where she feels no longer welcome, where her parents struggle with financial issues, where the cops are a constant presence after her parents fight and her mother verbally and emotionally abuses her. This girl's actions and reactions could characterized as wrong from the mass, but if you will read this story, you will realize that Ivy was just a broken girl who was a survivor. Aiden and Ivy shared a past together, since when they were kids they were best friends and yet now that they were attending the same university, Ivy pretended not to know Aiden or didn’t acknowledge him. But she ran anyways, and now years later she finally stopped running only to find her best friend again.it doesnt really feel like their in love but more like ”they love each other because their besties with a history” and so yay lets have sex. I actually finished it almost a week ago and am just now sitting down to try and capture all my thoughts.

Il faut lire si on aime les personnages qui vivent des situations difficiles dans leurs relations familiales pendant leur enfance et leur adolescence et qui les perturbent comme adultes. His love for football wasn't his entire personality either -- he was just such an inherently good person, and I just adored him. Every time Aiden would try to help her, she would just turn him down and continuously question why he wanted to help her. I am an emotional mess at the end of this book so if you want something easy and funny this is not the right choice.I loved the chemistry and while I’m not sold one hundred per cent on the tied loose ends with her family, overall was a great story that many romance readers will enjoy.

Celeste does a phenomenal job of representing these challenging issues and giving them the seriousness and credit they’re due. B. Celeste is a new adult and contemporary romance author that gives voices to raw, realistic characters with emotional storylines that tug on the heartstrings. She symbolizes those that suffer from ideas and actions of self-harm as an outlet to release the pain they feel inside. The story is well written…but a bit too much like real life for it to feel like the escape I was hoping for. Ivy and Aidan's story it's full on from the beginning of the book and their chemistry it's there from page 3.Aiden melted my heart, throughout the whole book, even as a child he's always just wanted to be there for Ivy and to be what she needs. Yes I know she takes the stupidest risk sometimes in attempt of her self-preservation, but dammit the caveman things just worsened it for me.
