Offering exceptional value, these telescopes feature portable yet powerful designs with ample optical performance to excite any newcomer to the world of the amateur astronomer. The larger aperture Celestron Powerseeker 114EQ Newtonian Telescope has more light gathering capability with 114mm aperture, is more powerful with higher magnification and has an equatorial mount for finer incremental adjustment using the slow motion control rods. The included 4mm eyepiece provides the normal image of the telescope (inverted as it is natural in an astrological-astron monitoring). A larger, faster telescope that uses a spherical primary mirror, such as the 130mm f/5 Celestron AstroMaster 130 EQ or a typical 76mm f/4 tabletop reflector, would suffer from a lack of sharpness and definition; however, in the case of the 76mm f/9 sphere that comes with the AstroMaster LT 76AZ, any deviation from a parabola is insignificant, and thus it offers great performance for astronomical purposes.

A note regarding magnification: Similar telescopes are advertised in many places with magnifications of over 300X or even 600X.With these eyes the Celestron PowerSeeker 76 AZ telescope provides an increase of 35x (20mm eye) and 175x (4mm ocular). The only downside is it's quite hard to focus, and the little focus scope gets knocked out of place really easily no matter how hard you tighten it.

Setting up the spotter scope however is very tricky and frustrating, and the tripod is pretty wobbly. The Celestron Powerseeker 127EQ with Motor Drive and Phone adapter Kit uses German equatorial mount, with an RA Motor Drive. They offer exceptional value, and feature portable yet powerful designs with ample optical performance to excite any newcomer to the world of amateur astronomy. Go behind the scenes with Celestron’s product development team and learn more about our award-winning and patented innovations.Their sturdy equatorial mounts are perfect for tracking objects in the night sky, and the collapsible alt-azimuth mounts are perfectly suited for terrestrial (land) viewing as well as astronomical use. It is a good idea to get some idea of how to orient yourself in the night sky by first reading some books on the subject. They reduce glare and light scattering, increase contrast through selective filtration, increase definition and resolution, reduce irradiation and lessen eye fatigue. Reflector telescopes don’t suffer from chromatic aberration, colours appearing around an image, like some refractors.

Now, Celestron is using that same technology to allow star gazers to connect to the night sky and enhance their experience of the cosmos in fun and unique ways. I have had a look at the stickied post and will watch the videos accompanying this when I get a bit more time, but I just came here for some advice, as I've just bought a Celestron PowerSeeker 76AZ from a friend who intended to use it and never did in the end. The Celestron AstroMaster AZ telescopes all use the same mount, which shares much of its design with the EQ versions’ CG-3 mount and tripod, the only difference being the design of the mount head. The Powerseeker 114EQ also comes with a 3x Barlow lens to give additional magnification for those more distant night sky objects as well as nearer objects in our solar system. Celestron’s FREE planetarium app is an astronomy suite that redefines how you experience the night sky. Many of the other fittings on the tube, such as the castings at the ends of the tube and the spider holding the secondary mirror in place, are plastic, so you need to be especially careful not to smack the telescope into anything, as repair or replacement of damaged plastic parts is next to impossible. Planetarium software package which provides easy-to-understand explanations and impressive visuals of all kinds.

Powerseeker Telescopes are available in a range of designs including Refractor Telescopes and Newtonian Reflector Telescopes covering a good range of budgets and offering good magnifications enabling you to take your first steps to observing the night sky. We've been supplying cameras and photographic accessories for over 40 years and now located in the centre of Halifax, West Yorkshire. I have more than 10 years with my PowerSeeker 76 AZ, I've never collimated it, but even with that I can see Saturn and Jupiter as a small point. This makes the Celestron PowerSeeker 127EQ Telescope a good choice for beginners to Astronomy and represents great value for money.

The completely preassembled tripod has aluminium legs and provides a stable and vibration-free platform for mount and telescope. Amateur astronomy is a great family hobby that can be enjoyed year round, and Celestron´s PowerSeekers are the ideal choice for families looking for an affordable and high quality telescope that will provide many hours of enjoyment for children and adults alike. I have used the Barlow with the 20mm and with the Moon it has good effects however it seems like the scope is set up to work perfectly with just the 20mm. U nleash the full pointing accuracy of your Celestron computerized telescope with a specialized telescope control software suite. The Celestron Powerseeker range includes the two major telescope mount types: Equatorial mount and Altazimuth Mount.
